About the ICLEI Gender Declaration

Unveiled at the ICLEI World Congress 2024, the ICLEI Gender Declaration is a commitment to integrating gender equity into the core of the organization’s endeavors. This declaration guides a network of 2,500 local and regional governments in embedding gender equity into sustainable urban development, empowering women, addressing gender-specific challenges, and promoting inclusive governance and planning.
