The needs of local governments are increasing and diversifying with the impact of globalization and current developments. As a result, our member municipalities prefer to have access to fast and effective consultancy services from a reliable source at same high standards worldwide. To this end, Marmara Municipalities Union provides consultancy services to local governments in technical, legal, financial and management areas.

Mentor

Mentor is an experience sharing and exchange program established by the Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU) for improving the inter-municipal cooperation, capacities of the municipalities as well as the competencies of the municipal employees.

International Cooperation

Reclaiming Streets

Reclaiming Streets is a practice-based learning program that has been running since 2022. It aims to create livable, pedestrian- and child-friendly streets through interim and final street transformation implementations. The program places children and pedestrians at the center, striving to make streets safer, healthier, and more inclusive by going beyond motor vehicle-focused designs. It enhances municipal capacities through educational and workshop activities, and uses a phased design approach to make participation, budgeting, and implementation processes more effective.
