Applications for the COVALEX Training Program Are Open
Program Objectives:
- To equip participants with knowledge about hydrometeorological hazards.
- To inform participants about the EU's perspectives and coordination mechanisms in disaster risk management.
- To enhance participants' skills in risk assessment and management at the local level using existing IT tools and platforms.
- To provide information on innovative solutions and best practices.
Program Structure:
- Module 1: Introduction to Hydrometeorological Hazards
- Module 2: Risk Evaluation and Readiness Assessment
- Module 3: European Union Perspectives
- Module 4: IT Tools and Platforms
Program Duration: The training will be conducted online on September 19 and 26, 2024, from 10:00 to 14:00 (CEST).
Language: English.
Eligibility: The program is designed for practitioners working in local government units who are responsible for civil protection, disaster risk management, or climate change areas. Participation is limited to 25 people and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participation Fee: The training is free of charge.
Certification: Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate.
Application Deadline: The deadline for registration is September 12, 2024.
