Safe School Streets
By assessing key traffic and environmental factors—including road width, lane count, signage, sidewalk conditions, speed limits, and traffic density—the project ensures that children can navigate their daily journeys securely and autonomously. Recognizing the crucial role of street design in promoting healthy and active mobility, the project will also incorporate nature-based solutions throughout its implementation. These green interventions not only improve air quality and urban cooling but also enhance biodiversity and overall quality of life, making streets more inviting for walking and cycling. By integrating climate-responsive and child-friendly urban design, the initiative aims to create sustainable, inclusive, and vibrant public spaces that benefit both children and the broader community.
